The first photo walk in Zell an der Mosel on October 8 was a resounding success. Under the motto “See. Discover. Capture. Share,” amateur photographers set out together on Thursday to discover the town from new and unusual perspectives.
Starting at Town Hall, the photo walk took participants through Zell’s Old Town. The focus wasn’t on technical questions or the perfect equipment, but rather on the joy of photography and the shared appreciation for unique subjects. Whether using a smartphone, a point-and-shoot camera, or an SLR - the participants were enthusiastic and captured numerous fascinating views, details, and atmospheres.
“It was wonderful to see the enthusiasm with which the participants took part,” was the overwhelmingly positive conclusion. Many amateur photographers expressed their delight at the opportunity to see Zell in a whole new light. Familiar sights were viewed from a different perspective, small details came into focus, and numerous unique impressions of the town emerged.
At the “Autumn Magic” event on Sunday, October 18, 2026, a selection of the participants' photographs was displayed as part of an exhibition on the market square. All of the photographs are also compiled in a photo gallery below this article.
Special thanks go to Michael Frank, who organized the photo walk with great dedication and expertise and accompanied the participants on their photographic journey of discovery. We would also like to thank all the amateur photographers whose enthusiasm and creativity made the first photo walk such a special experience.
