Town hall of Zell (Mosel)

Our town hall - central contact point for citizens and guests

The town hall of the town of Zell (Mosel) is a multifunctional building and - at the latest since the conversion and modernization in the years 2003 to 2005 - a focal point for politics, culture and tourism. It is home to the mayor's office, Zeller Land Tourismus GmbH, the wine and local history museum, the city library and event rooms. This makes it a central contact point not only for our citizens, but also for the numerous guests of our beautiful Moselle town.

Directly in front of the town hall is the market square of the town of Zell (Mosel) with the "Zeller-Schwarze-Katz" fountain and the wine lounge. Young and old meet here to celebrate one of the many festivals in our wine town or simply to get together.

Would you like to find out more about the institutions located in the town hall or are you looking for the right contact person in the city administration? All information is available on this page and via the following links.

Town council of Zell (Mosel)

Tasks and composition of the city council

The town council of Zell (Mosel) consists of the mayor as chairman and 20 honorary city councillors. They are directly elected by the citizenry for five years. The town council is the main organ of the city. In terms of overall control, it defines the goals and framework of local political action and decides on all important town affairs, insofar as the mayor is not responsible by law.

The town council determines and controls the work of the administration as well as the implementation of its resolutions and also initiates numerous specific individual measures. The decisions of the council are generally taken in meetings that take place in the new meeting room of the town hall. The town councilors receive templates for all deliberation points with a description of the facts and proposed resolutions so that they can obtain information in good time before the town council deliberation. When the formation of an opinion is complete, the town councilors and the mayor vote on the respective proposal.
