The “Schwarze Katz” is present at numerous regional and national wine culture events and delights visitors. The cat is also really active on social media: with its own Facebook and Instagram accounts, it provides a breath of fresh air and great pictures.
And now it's getting even more exciting: the town of Zell wants to build on this success story! That's why stylish “Zeller Schwarze Katz” arches have been set up in Zell and in the Merl and Kaimt districts. The locations were carefully selected - in particularly picturesque places with especially beautiful views of the Moselle and the town. The cat welcomes all guests and invites them to a photo shoot - perfect for unforgettable snapshots!
This cool project was implemented with the support of the LEADER program and is part of the town's social media strategy, explains Pia Leister-Dauns from town marketing. The aim is to motivate visitors and locals to take photos, share them on their channels and tag the city. This will make the “Black Cat” even more visible!
The cat arches are also provided with a QR code. Simply scan it and you can experience the exciting story of the “Zeller Schwarze Katz” as audio - visually and acoustically! An interactive experience that is fun and brings the story of the famous cat to life.
