On Saturday, November 30th, 2024, the picturesque wine town of Zell (Mosel) kicks off the contemplative Advent season. From 12 noon, the charming Advent market around the market square and in the town hall cellar opens its doors and invites you to stroll and shop. The exhibitors present a diverse range of handicrafts, decorative items and lovingly handmade Christmas and gift articles.
Haus Till E. (Schloßstraße 10) also welcomes all visitors from 12 noon in its festively decorated garden. Advent magic awaits you here with mulled wine, sausages and Christmas music.
At 3:30 pm, St. Nicholas will visit the market square and has of course brought a surprise for the children. From 4 p.m., Georg Wenker will create a festive atmosphere with “Rocking Christmas”.
A highlight of the day is the popular fairytale parade organized by the Zell trade association, which starts at 5:30 pm through Zell's old town. The colorful, beautifully illuminated groups and floats whisk visitors away to the magical world of fairy tales. Look forward to classics such as “The Nutcracker”, “Sterntaler” and “Frau Holle”. Many families, clubs, schools and daycare centers have lovingly prepared the fairytale groups and are looking forward to presenting them at the parade. The parade starts in Brandenburg, moves through the pedestrian zone and ends near the Till E house.
After the parade, visitors can enjoy a relaxing end to the evening - either with live music on the market square from the Zell Orchestra Association and Georg Wenker or contemplatively at the Advent Magic in the Till E. garden. Food and drink are well catered for: mulled wine, waffles and hearty treats are available on the market square and along the route of the parade, in the Till E. garden and at Delicious.
